Collection of Information

Information You Provide To Us

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, use the Services, request customer support, or otherwise communicate with us. The categories of information we collect include:

Account Information: we collect your email address and any name you provide when you sign up. We use passwordless, magic-link authentication, so we never collect or store a password.
Resume Information: we store the resume content you create, including your name, contact details, work history, education, and skills, so you can edit, version, and export your resumes. This content is retained until you delete it or close your account.
Audio Resume Information: if you purchase the audio resume add-on, your resume text is sent to our text-to-speech provider (ElevenLabs) to generate a synthesized voice narration, and the resulting audio file is stored in your account. Audio credits you purchase are tracked separately from your subscription and are non-refundable once consumed.
Financial Information: we engage Stripe, a third-party payment processor, to collect and process your subscription and add-on payment details. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
Communication Information: we collect the content of any messages you send to our support channels.

Information We Collect Automatically

Transactional Information: we keep a history of your subscription and audio-credit purchases, including dates, amounts, and plan tier.
Internet Activity and Device Information: we collect information about how you access the Services, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited, to keep your session secure and diagnose problems.
Cookies and Similar Technologies: we use a session cookie to keep you signed in. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics (Google LLC) cookies to understand feature usage and improve the Services. You can Accept or Reject analytics cookies via the on-site banner, or adjust your browser settings. Rejecting analytics does not affect sign-in; blocking all cookies may.

Information We Collect From Other Sources

We receive limited account and payment-status information from Stripe, our payment processor, such as subscription status and renewal dates.

Use of Information

Service Delivery: to provide resume creation, template selection, PDF export, and the optional audio resume add-on.
Communication: to send authentication magic links, receipts, service notices, and responses to support requests.
Research and Development: to monitor usage trends and improve the Services.
Protection and Compliance: to detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to comply with our legal obligations.

We do not permit our AI or text-to-speech providers to use your resume content to train their models, and we do not sell your personal information.

Disclosure of Information

We disclose information in the following circumstances:

Vendors and Service Providers: we share information with vendors that help us operate the Services, including Stripe (payment processing), ElevenLabs (audio resume narration), and our cloud hosting provider (Google Cloud Platform). These providers may only use your information to perform services for us.
Professional Advisors: we disclose information to our lawyers, accountants, and other advisors where necessary to obtain advice or protect our business interests.
Legal Authorities and Others: we may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of Crocodile CV, our users, or the public.
Corporate Transactions: we may disclose information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of company assets.
Affiliates: we may share information with Nulia.US Corp. affiliates and companies under common ownership.
With Your Consent: we disclose information when you direct us to, such as sharing an exported resume file with a third party.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never disclose your resume content to advertisers.

Data Retention

We retain your account, resume, and audio-file information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Your Choices

You can access, edit, export, or delete your resumes, audio files, and account information from within the Services, or by contacting us. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your billing settings.

Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for job seekers who are adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

Our Services are hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have data protection laws different from those of your country.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
